Introduction to Sustainable Design:
Sustainable Home Construction

The focus on this piece was to transmaterialize our family business of home construction by reconsidering materials and building methods that are more environmentally friendly. The introduction spoke on the data collected specific to emissions on a newly constructed home and addressing concerns in current processes. My hope is that technology; such as 3D printing, could decrease an overall carbon footprint and eliminate the need for using unsustainable materials.
